Bassano del Grappa and the entire Veneto's territory like a huge stage where dance, theater, music and traditions mingle in a new art to be discovered.
Operestate is the name of this event that started in July but that will last until October 9th, liven up all the Veneto region with dance shows, walks and bike rides among the places of the Great War, literary references to the great authors, and more.
For fans of the English literature and to celebrate the 400 years since his death, will be devoted many events at the most famous playwright of all time which has several connections to the city of Bassano: William Shakespeare. It will be staged some of his greatest comedies and tragedies, "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "The Merchant of Venice", "Romeo and Juliet" and "Hamlet."
For dance lovers instead, will be given a real CHOREOGRAPHY AUTHOR; a number of shows and performances of the finest national and international choreographers will perform in the most important villas and palaces like the famous Theatre ofCastello di Bassano.
To enrich even more the calendar is then Dancing Museums Project, which provides to put in contact five dance companies from Paris, London, Rotterdam, Vienna and Bassano with as many museums, including the Louvre and the National Gallery. The result is unprecedented interaction between art and dance. Scheduled from today August 25.
On September the 2nd the Bassano In Jazz which also confirms the partnership with Veneto Jazz with an entire day dedicated to young talent and an exceptional concert of the english but Italian origin "singer songwriter" Jack Savoretti.
